Where did you grow up? How long have you lived in the area? Tell us about your family
Orange County, California and now in this area since 2020. I have a beautiful wife, Rachel, who is the brains behind it all.
We have 8 kids ranging from 7 year old twin daughters (Juliet and Grace) to Jazmyn 21, Jacob 22, Zac 29, Broc 30 (and an amazing service tech with me here at Emergency Air) and Dominque 33.
Tell us about the events that led up to where you are now.
I started in the industry as a sales person for a small HVAC company in Riverside 27 years ago. Learning the business from warehouse to service technician and install to management and the financial side of the business I was able to successfully sell that company at the age of 25. Since then, I’ve been a part of growing HVAC businesses and acquiring several others as well as owning my own business and successfully selling that business in Palm Springs, California to ultimately retire in Arizona. I joined the Fix It Group in October 2022. Fix It owns several companies across the country including Emergency Air.
What is your business and why did you start your business?
Emergency Air is a residential electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling, repair, installation, & maintenance
Why did we start? Arizona is by far the best market in the entire country. Great local economy, great people, and great weather that requires air conditioning all year long
We did not have any company in the Fix It Group in this market and came across an opportunity with Emergency Air (which has been around for over 27 years) where the owners decided they wanted to retire so here we are!
What is unique about your business?

Emergency Air...the difference is...We Care! It starts by hiring good humans! We have team members both in office and in the field who truly care about people and feel good about
serving others. If you aren’t about serving others and having their best interest in mind you can’t work here. It’s really that simple.
This is the core of everything we do from taking care of our team members better than they have ever been taken care of before to how we serve our customers.
As an example:
When we come out to repair or perform service on your air conditioning system, our technicians are not allowed to sell you a new air conditioning system or tell you that you have to replace your system.
Our focus
- Keeping customers as comfortable as possible especially during the brutal heat waves that we get.
- How to save customers as much money as possible on repairs
- How to save as much money as possible on your utility bill.
- How to get as much life out of your air conditioning system as humanely possible before you would ever need to replace it.
- Our technicians are technicians not sales people. They fix service and repair. If it makes sense and the customer wants options on replacement we must send a field advisor for a second opinion that will verify all the information to make sure it makes sense to replace.
- We are also one of the only companies out there that actually performs a deep cleaning service when we come out to do a “tune up”. Many companies only do an “inspection” to look for things to sell you, then charge you for doing any type of cleanings.
- My technicians are not allowed to sell you anything that you don’t need.
- As part of our process technicians are required to take videos and photos of all that they are doing and recommending to always keep the customer in the loop and giving them the peace of mind that everything we are saying is true and honest.
Given your business expertise and the nature of what you do, what advice can you offer to your neighbors?
Your air conditioning system is typically the most expensive appliance to repair or replace in your home. Save big by simply making sure you are having maintenance performed on your system 2 times per year. Once in the spring to get you ready for the summer heat and once after the summer in the fall/winter after your system has taken a beating from the brutal heat.
