Family First: The Heart of Shoppe Family
Jeff and Kathy Shoppe are proud parents of four grown children—Linsey, Stevie, Mindy, and Brady—and doting grandparents to seven grandchildren. Three of their grandchildren live in Sterling, while the other four reside in a nearby neighborhood in Flowery Branch.
A Growing Family in Sterling and Flowery Branch
Jeff and Kathy’s journey in these neighborhoods began when Stevie and her husband, Josh, moved to Sterling in 2010. Soon after, Jeff and Kathy followed, making the move in the same year to be closer to their family. The neighborhood quickly became a hub of family activity. In 2013, Linsey and her husband, Jeremy, joined the community, followed by Rebecca and Brady in 2020, and Mindy and Bill in 2021.
Today, the family is blessed with seven grandchildren: Josh and Stevie’s four - Annabelle (12), Brooks (9), Collins (6), Dalton (3), Mindy and Bills two - Houston (2) and Carter (9 months), and Brady and Rebecca’s one and only Callie (1).

The whole family loves participating in the neighborhood's events, from the Easter Egg Hunt and Fourth of July fireworks to movie nights, the fall festival, and all the other fantastic activities that bring everyone together!
Weekly Family Dinners: A Tradition of Togetherness
One of the highlights of the week for Jeff and Kathy is the family dinners they host. These gatherings are more than just a meal—they are a celebration of family. It’s during these times that the grandchildren, from the oldest, Annabelle, to the youngest, Carter, deepen their relationships with each other. The older ones, like Annabelle and Brooks, often take on the role of caring for the younger ones, creating a beautiful dynamic where each child feels loved and supported.
Even though Jeff and Kathy and Josh and Stevie have moved just around the corner in Flowery Branch, the dinners continue and are a testament to Jeff and Kathy’s belief in the importance of family. “Our favorite part about being grandparents is having a close family and the support system it creates,” Jeff and Kathy share. “We all love each other and are there to support one another through the highs and the lows of life.”
A Memorable Family Vacation: Santa Rosa Beach
This summer, the entire family took a much-anticipated trip to Santa Rosa Beach. It was a time of relaxation, play, and, most importantly, togetherness. The week spent on the beautiful Florida coast allowed the family to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life and reconnect with each other. Days were filled with beach outings, where the children built sandcastles and played in the waves, while the evenings were reserved for another family tradition—taking turns cooking dinner for everyone.
One of the most treasured moments of the trip was gathering around the table each night, sharing delicious meals and stories. The laughter and conversations that filled the air were a reminder of the strong family bonds that Jeff and Kathy have cultivated over the years. “We are so grateful for the foundation that Jeff and Kathy have laid for our family. Their commitment to faith and family has been unwavering, truly setting an example for us all to follow!” shared Rebecca Shoppe.
