Holder's Pest and Wildlife Services
Holder’s Pest and Wildlife Services is your first call when the critters come calling or when you want to prevent them from coming around in the first place. Their residential pest control services include treatment for mosquitos, bees, wasps, hornets, silverfish, termites, roaches, and more. Their staff is available when you need immediate removal of wildlife – opossums, squirrels, skunks, bats, rats, snakes, or any other unwanted visitor. They offer crawl space barrier insulation, removal, and sanitation, too.
Mark and Evelyn Holder started their business to give everyone an option to receive a great service at an equally great price. “We knew we could make this business a win-win,” says Mark. Now in their thirteenth year and with seven employees, that drive to provide great customer service in combination with reasonable prices has kept the referrals coming in. They attribute much of their success to those word-of-mouth recommendations from current clients, who are so impressed with a job well done that they tell their family and friends.
The Holder’s Advantage is a phrase they take to heart; they aren’t satisfied until the client is satisfied, often going above and beyond to make sure that happens. “We are a family-owned and operated business, which helps us to see our customers as extended family,” explains Evelyn.
To Sterling residents, they have this advice: Do a self-inspection of your home on a regular basis. Make sure you’re keeping bushes, vines, and limbs away from your house, and double-check that all entry points are sealed. If an animal can get its head through, it can get its body through, too.
Mark and Evelyn have been Jackson County residents for around 45 years now. They’ve been married for 40 years this September and have eight children and seven grandchildren. The Holders were foster parents for Jackson County and are active in their church. “We like to keep our privacy as far as charitable efforts are concerned, but we were able to help make a difference in some special little lives,” says Evelyn. They also sponsor events and have worked with food banks and other local organizations.
It’s so fulfilling to help solve someone’s problem at an affordable price, explains Mark. “We love it when we receive a handwritten note telling us what a great job we did for them.” At Holder’s, there truly is nothing more important than family, community, and customers. “We believe that we all need a little compassion and understanding in our lives and we hope to be able to convey that through how we treat people.”
