The Fitness Studio
A Team Approach to Sustainable Wellness

The Fitness Studio in Piper Glen is redefining fitness in South Charlotte by focusing on personalized, one-on-one and semi-private training in a welcoming and customized environment. At the heart of this approach is a team of highly skilled trainers, each bringing unique expertise – from physical therapy backgrounds and sports conditioning to weight loss, elderly fitness programs and sport-specific training. This diversity ensures that clients receive tailored support that meets their individual needs.
The foundation of The Fitness Studio is built on a shared philosophy: sustainable, effective wellness. Rather than promoting fad diets or quick fixes, the team is dedicated to helping clients develop long-term, healthy habits that integrate seamlessly into their lifestyles. "It’s not about forcing yourself to work out," says Jackie Hawkins, the studio’s founder. "It’s about making movement a natural part of your routine."
Jackie’s passion for fitness began in her hometown of Cleveland, where sports played a central role in her life. She started playing basketball and softball at just 4 years old, and her father, a former football player, coached many of her teams. That early exposure to athletics helped shape her lifelong commitment to wellness.
After moving to Charlotte, Jackie gained extensive experience in gym operations, personal training and human psychology, shaping her ability to guide clients toward meaningful health transformations. Over the years, she worked in various fitness roles, developing a deep understanding of human psychology and how to help people from all walks of life achieve their health goals. Whether assisting clients with nutritional planning, weight management or fitness routines, Jackie honed her ability to create personalized solutions.
But The Fitness Studio is not just a reflection of her journey – it’s a collective effort driven by a dedicated team that works together to create an inclusive, supportive space for every client. Unlike big-box gyms, The Fitness Studio focuses on one-on-one and semi-private instruction and support. Jackie has built a team of five highly skilled trainers, each specializing in different areas: physical therapy, sports and conditioning, weight loss, elderly fitness programs and specific sport training. This diversity allows the studio to cater to a wide range of clients with unique fitness needs.
The studio also offers cutting-edge technology, including a 3D body scanning machine that helps track progress and assess body composition. Whether clients need specialized training, home workout adaptations or rehabilitation-focused programs, Jackie and her team collaborate to provide customized solutions.
Since opening, The Fitness Studio has been embraced by the community, welcoming individuals of all fitness levels and backgrounds. With a strong, experienced team and a commitment to personal wellness, The Fitness Studio is not just a gym – it’s a place where sustainable fitness becomes a way of life. Many of Jackie’s clients are new to working out, and she and her team take pride in creating an inclusive space where anyone – regardless of age or fitness level – can succeed.
Jackie’s philosophy is simple: sustainable, effective wellness. The Fitness Studio is not about fad diets, quick fixes or magic pills. Instead, Jackie and her team help clients make healthier choices, move their bodies and develop long-term habits that fit seamlessly into their lives. “It’s not ‘I have to go work out today,’” Jackie says. "It’s just a part of your routine; it’s what you do."
