The Crew Family

Meet Tina and Jesse Crew, who have called Ballantyne Country Club home since 2015. Tina and Jesse have cherished every moment since they moved to the neighborhood. “We absolutely love living here,” Tina shares. “The amazing friends we’ve made, the beautiful trails for our walks and all the exciting new developments like the Ballantyne Bowl and the Amp have made this a wonderful place to call home.”

Originally from Latrobe, PA – home to Arnold Palmer, Mr. Rogers and the iconic Rolling Rock beer – Tina fondly recalls her roots. “Latrobe is also where I became a lifelong Steelers fan,” she says. “Jesse and I never miss a game – Go Steelers!” Jesse, originally from Annapolis, MD, now enjoys retired life after a successful career in medical sales. Their love story began serendipitously at 42nd Street Oyster Bar in Raleigh. “It was the best day of our lives,” Tina recalls. “We were introduced by a friend and never looked back.”

With Jesse’s help, Tina runs her own business, Tina Crew Aesthetics. Having worked in the cosmetics industry with renowned brands like Lancôme and Chanel, she now thrives in aesthetics, helping build cutting-edge products such as PDO Max threads and the revolutionary Chronos Biologic ExoCR. “It’s an exciting industry,” Tina says. “I love helping brands launch and making a difference.”

The Crews are proud parents to Nicco, 25, who lives an adventurous life in Honolulu, HI. “Nicco is an avid surfer, cliff diver and videographer,” Tina says with pride. “He teaches people how to surf and lives every moment to the fullest.” Their late daughter, Alex, remains their guardian angel, forever in their hearts.

Family time is sacred to the Crews. Jesse shines in the kitchen, crafting delicious meals like Alaskan king crab legs. One of Tina’s fondest memories is making homemade chicken soup with her mother’s special noodles. “We’d all be in the kitchen together, sometimes throwing flour at each other,” Tina reminisces. “It’s the ultimate comfort food.”

Their love for travel has taken them to Hawaii to visit Nicco, and they dream of exploring Portugal in 2025. Summers spent in Wilmington and Carolina Beach hold a special place in their hearts, filled with deep-sea fishing, fresh seafood feasts and lazy days on the beach. “Those vacations with family and friends created so many precious memories,” Tina says.

When they’re not working or walking their 11-year-old Siberian Husky, Koda, Tina and Jesse enjoy relaxing with massages, pedicures and Hallmark Christmas movies. “We’re a Hallmark Christmas family,” Tina says with a laugh. “Elf and The Most Wonderful Time of the Year are must-watch favorites.”

The Crews are also passionate about personal growth, often listening to Brendon Burchard, Ed Mylett and Jamie Kern Lima for inspiration. “We love helping friends and family find their passions in life,” Tina says. “It’s what fulfills us.”

The Crews cherish the strong sense of community in Ballantyne Country Club. “We love seeing our neighbors during our power walks and catching up with fun conversations,” Tina says. “This neighborhood is like family to us.” The Crews are always ready to lend a hand and embrace new adventures as they grow older. “We’re excited for what the future holds,” Tina shares. “There’s so much to look forward to.”
