During the last weekend of February, thirty of our devoted pickleball players headed to Englewood Sports Complex to compete in the Englewood PickleBowl, an annual community vs. community tournament sponsored by Viking Pickleball. Seven teams from Sarasota to Port Charlotte, with over 200 pickleball players in all, competed in men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles at various levels (3.0, 3.5, and 4.0+) for two days.

 

Upon its conclusion, Grand Palm emerged as the overall 2023 Englewood PickleBowl Champions! We were also crowned Men’s Doubles Champions and Mixed Doubles Champions! The impressive PickleBowl trophy will be displayed at the Grand Palm Social Club for the upcoming year. Three large championship banners reflecting our wins are hanging outside the pickleball courts now.

 

We’re very proud of our hard-fought PickleBowl victory and thankful for the tremendous support from our entire pickleball community. Great sportsmanship, great camaraderie, and great fun exemplify what Grand Palm Pickleball is all about!
