Where do you go when you want the heat of the weather to match the heat of the experience?  Dubai of course! Our travel tale this month comes from Sneha Gubba regarding her family’s recent 3-day adventure to the emirate’s capital. 

For those who don’t know, Dubai’s growth has exploded in the last century.  It started as a small fishing village in the 19th century and is now known for its luxury and tourism. This made it an ideal getaway, not only for a family vacation, but also to celebrate Sneha’s upcoming 10th wedding anniversary. Congratulations!

While there is an exponential amount of culture, history and fun to consume in Dubai, Sneha explained some of their vacation highlights were visiting the Burj Khalifa (the world’s tallest building), the famous Dubai Fountain (the world’s tallest performing water, music and light show) and the Museum of The Future (a landmark devoted to innovative and futuristic ideologies).  They even found time to cram in a desert safari with dune bashing, sand boarding and quad bikes!  What fun! 

If you get a chance to visit Dubai, Sneha recommends you plan ahead for the Museum of the Future and enjoy many local foods like manakish, mint tea and baba ghanoush.
