Meet Lauren Toth

Dublin Jerome Student and Stroll Tartan Fields Writer

Lauren with her dog, Basil

Lauren Toth, a junior at Dublin Jerome High School, is a dedicated member of the field hockey and track teams. She also actively participates in Celtic News, the school's student broadcast, Cabinet, and the Writing Team. Lauren has earned regional distinctions through her involvement in JustWrite Ohio and is determined to place at the state level in the coming years.

In her free time, Lauren enjoys reading, shopping, and spending quality time with her friends, family, and dog, Basil. She's often found at Target, Playa Bowls, or Starbucks during the summer, and in the fall, she prefers to study at the library, her favorite season. Interestingly, while Lauren excels in writing, she considers math or history her more vital subjects. She prefers not to listen to music with lyrics while studying, but she enjoys artists like Billie Eilish, Frank Ocean, Mac Miller, and Taylor Swift when she’s not doing homework. She even attended the Eras Tour in Detroit in June 2023.

Lauren has been playing the piano for 12 years, and passersby can often hear her playing from the sidewalk, as her piano is positioned near an outside wall. In the evenings, she’s frequently out walking Basil with her dad. Soon to be a licensed driver, Lauren is also a staff writer for Stroll magazine, where she covers stories about people and events within her community. If you’d like to be featured in Stroll Tartan Fields, please get in touch with her at StrollTartanFields@n2.com.
