The Gaberts
This month, we have the pleasure of introducing you to the Gabert family, who have been a wonderful addition to our neighborhood since moving here in January 2024. Beau and Lynsey Gabert, along with their daughters Charlotte (12) and Piper (10), have embraced the community spirit, while vividly contributing to the vibrancy of our area.
Beau Gabert, serving as a VP at Boyd's Equipment, is no stranger to our locality. Having grown up here, Beau attended AHS and started his journey at Boyd's Equipment as a young teenager. His path crossed with Lynsey at Texas A&M University in College Station, where they both nurtured their academic pursuits—Beau in engineering and Lynsey in biology. It was the harmonious sounds of the university symphony that united them. A year into their marriage, the couple settled in Amarillo. While Beau embarked on his full-time role at Boyd's Equipment, Lynsey began shaping young minds as a teacher and volleyball coach at Tascosa High School. Their past 14 years in City Park were a testament to their dedication to family, with Lynsey lovingly staying home during their daughters’ early years.
The Gaberts relish the joy of exploration. Destin, South Fork, and Disney World hold the coveted spots on their travel itinerary. Each year, their unique tradition involves participating in the 4th of July parade in Creede, Colorado, a vibrant affair where the family enjoys distributing beads. While travel fuels their adventures, their community, and faith ground them at home. Active members of the First Baptist Amarillo church, they find fulfillment in serving and attending church activities.
Beau's zest for life extends to his hobbies of motorcycle racing and flying planes, while Lynsey takes to running to stay active. Together, they relish gardening and hosting lively cookouts, allowing them to connect with loved ones and neighbors alike.
Charlotte is a dedicated and talented volleyball player at Bonham Middle School and with Xtreme Volleyball. Her academic prowess is highlighted by her Magnificent Mustang title and her impressive piano skills. Piper, a spirited fourth grader at Windsor Elementary, shines as the Speaker for her Battle of the Books Team. Like her sister, she shares a passion for volleyball and the piano.
Though they may not define them as traditions, the Gaberts have established pillars of priority in their lives: community, travel, and faith. They eagerly seek opportunities to bond with their neighbors, create lasting travel memories, and uphold their faith as humble leaders and role models at work and beyond. Beau was recently awarded 40 Under 40 Citizens on the Move, holds a position on the founders club at the WT Enterprise Center, and won 1st place for Boyd’s at the Chamber cook-off this year.
Their favorite dining spots—Texas Firehouse and Cada Vez—alongside their penchant for destinations like Destin, South Fork, and Disney World, reveal their love for food and travel. The Gaberts are ardent supporters of the Texas A&M Aggies and Kansas City Chiefs, and yes, they cherish everything in Taylor Swift's musical repertoire.
The Gaberts exemplify the essence of community spirit, balancing adventure with roots and leading with faith and integrity. We are thrilled to celebrate them as a vital part of our neighborhood family.
