On February 6, 2022, Dominion Residents gathered at The Dominion Country Club for a competition of the cooking sort. Long-held secret recipes for competition-style chili were prepared meticulously in the competitors' kitchens. Lots of spicy, acidic chili was sampled by the judges, but in the end, there could only be one first-place winner. 

That honor went to Scott Hencshel for his famous Rooster's Revenge Chili recipe! According to Scott's wife, Olga, Rooster's Revenge, "has some kick, but is not overwhelming with the spices. Scott thinks that good chili needs to have a good balance with heat: it has to taste spicy, but you are not supposed to taste only pepper."

Mark your calendars! Every year at Halloween, Scott stirs up a big pot of Rooster's Revenge, and The Hencshel's open their doors from 5 pm to 8 pm to all Dominion residents looking to sample Scott's famous chili. Don't be afraid to stop by!
