PGA Jr. League at The Resort | Go Bobcats!
You’ve likely seen the group of kids sporting orange and blue shirts on the putting range or the
course—these are some of the thirty-two young golfers participating in the PGA Jr. League at
The Resort Golf Club. They are known as The Resort Bobcats!
With over 71,000 players nationwide, the PGA Jr. League welcomes kids aged six to
seventeen. Its mission is to make golf accessible to children from all backgrounds
through engaging, team-based experiences that emphasize recreation, health, and
sportsmanship.
Brian McCloy, who introduced the Junior League to The Resort, expresses his gratitude, saying, “I feel blessed that the Golf Club at The Resort has allowed me to use their facility.” The PGA Jr. League offers a safe environment for kids to learn golf, understand the game’s nuances, and experience a touch of competition.
Entering its second season at The Resort, the league is gaining momentum among the kids.
During the summer, practices are held on Thursdays from 6 to 7:30 PM, and Sundays are
dedicated to game days. The fall season is just around the corner, too!
Locally, an additional program fee of $375 covers course fees and coaching for
the season. Additionally, there is a $99 annual fee for PGA Jr. League membership, providing
access to the local league, custom uniforms, team kits, a digital center with interactive games
and events, and opportunities from various partners and sponsors.
