Meet the Ruoff family
Alex and Brittany Ruoff are both originally from Florida, and the two met while living in New York City through mutual friends. After living in the city for several years, they moved back to the Sunshine State to Alex’s hometown of Delray Beach. The Ruoffs settled down in Texas in 2018 to be closer to family.
They have three daughters: Nellie (4), Harlow (2.5) and Lexi (1). Nellie and Harlow love to dance and gymnastics, while Lexi happily tags along! All three girls attend preschool and MDO at a local church a few days a week. They are obsessed with all things princess!
They have one fur baby, Dave, their 10-year-old French bulldog who has traveled all over the country with Alex and Brittany. They cherish every moment they have with him!
Alex played D1 soccer at Lafayette College in Pennsylvania, where he majored in economics and business. Alex is the VP of Sales for the PEO division of an insurance agency called OneDigital, and previously spent 10 years in sales at ADP. Brittany went to the University of Georgia for both her undergraduate and master’s programs – Go Dawgs! While in New York, she worked in accounting for PwC and Marc Jacobs. She recently left her role as FP&A Manager in the retail industry to stay at home with their three girls
Brittany’s parents, Mike and Sue, and her sister, Courtney, along with her husband Matt and girls, Parker and Riley, all live nearby, so they spend as much time with them as possible. With 5 girls aged 4 and under, it’s always a circus! They enjoy spending their time at the family lake house on Lake Cypress Springs. They also love to travel several times a year, especially to ski and snowboard in Breckenridge or with a rental RV for a long weekend to explore State Parks.
As a family, you can find them at lively outdoor spots like Grandscape and Tupps Brewery. Most Friday nights, you will find them enjoying dinner and drinks at the Clubhouse while the girls run around outside. On weekend mornings, they love to bike the trails, with 2 kiddo trailers in tow. “Our favorite thing to do in the evenings is nightly golf cart rides, especially during Halloween and Christmastime. Halloween in The Tribute is an all time favorite!”
One of their favorite Christmas traditions is supporting the Salvation Army Angel Tree. “Our girls get to pick out special toys and requested items for their angels in need,” We also hide a pickle in our Christmas tree (real, of course!), and the first family member to find it each year gets to open a gift on Christmas Eve.
When Brittany and Alex have time to themselves, Alex plays on a men’s soccer team with some friends in the neighborhood, takes the girls on a jog while listening to a podcast, and enjoys craft beer. Brittany will head out to dinner with friends or spend time with a local MAMA’s group at the girl’s school. Her family are huge fans of her baking skills, especially the cakes. She has an embroidery machine and started a little business which she hopes to launch publicly in the new year. You can find more info on her social media page, @britstitchco.
For those new to the neighborhood, the Ruoffs say, “Don’t be afraid to exchange numbers on the playground or at the clubhouse! That is how we have met our closest friends in the neighborhood and have made it feel like home!”
