Alli & Landon Koch
Alli and Landon never thought they’d find themselves in the suburbs. Alli admits, “We were introduced to The Tribute by a mutual friend who then introduced us to some of their neighbors. We instantly fell in love. We were driving back and forth every weekend to hang out with our new friend group. That’s when it was evident we had found our community.” A few months later, they made it official, moving into a home on Prescott in April 2022 with Emmie, the feline addition to their family. Landon adds, “We loved the neighborhood so much, Alli convinced her parents (Tony and Dee Bridwell) to move to the Tribute as well!”
Alli and Landon met at church camp the summer before they started high school. They started dating at age 14 and have been together ever since. They were even each other’s first and only boyfriend/girlfriend! Just when the story couldn’t get any sweeter, we learned that this curious, courageous, and creative couple just celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary last month.
Alli has a degree in Marketing from UNT and started her business, Alli K Design, right out of college. Using her skillset and years of experience, Alli has turned her passion into a self-made career that has gained her national notoriety in the art world.
At Alli K Design, Alli paints murals all over the United States. One of her most known local murals is the colorful floral mural at Grandscape. Along with painting murals, she has published over 15 best-selling books that are sold worldwide including a How to Draw book series for kids and adults, as well as coloring books. Her most recent collaboration was with Whataburger!
Landon has a business degree from UTA and worked as a Project Manager for Amazon for more than 6 years. Two years ago though, due to the growth they had been experiencing at Alli K Design, Landon retired from the corporate world and now works with Alli full-time.
Alli and Landon completed one of their biggest murals yet earlier this year, a gorgeous piece in Orlando, Florida, at the Evermore Resort. Painting for 28 days straight, the mural showcases the fowls and foliage of Florida and covers more than 12,000 sq. ft. When they are not painting murals or gallivanting across the country for work, Alli and Landon love to take pottery and oil painting classes or go to the movies. There are also lots of summer pool days and even more game nights with friends and neighbors. They can frequently be found riding around with the top of their Jeep, exploring some new corner of the neighborhood. As often as they can, they travel with friends, recently visiting a longtime favorite destination (Paris) with some of their best friends/neighbors.
Despite a full and fun lifestyle calendar, Alli prioritizes a weekly breakfast date with her dad. Every Saturday morning since she was 13, she has met him at Chick-fil-A, where they enjoy breakfast foods, their favorite sweet tea, and a weekly breakdown of their highs and lows. Eventually, they started recording these conversations and created a podcast that lets them share wisdom, musings, and insights with listeners. With more than 180 episodes, Breakfast with Sis is sure to keep you entertained and then leave you inspired.
We’d like to thank Alli and Landon for giving us a glimpse into their everyday life here and also into their adventures abroad. Even though they never really saw themselves as a suburbs kind of family, they definitely seem to fit right in here on the peninsula. If you see them out and about, be sure to say, “Hello!
