The Tribute community has a newly formed Southeast Asian social group that celebrated its first event with a bang! With over 120 attendees, this Diwali gathering was filled with traditional food, laughter, activities, and the joy of coming together to celebrate the New Year in true Desi style. 

The idea for this group was born from a simple desire: to connect Southeast Asian families living at The Tribute and create a space for cultural awareness, unity, and celebration. By spreading the word through Facebook and personal connections, we successfully brought together a diverse group of people who share common roots and a love for cultural traditions. 

The group aims to meet at least once a month to continue fostering these connections. Plans are already underway to branch out into smaller sub-groups based on shared interests and hobbies, ensuring that there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Whether it’s celebrating festivals, exploring hobbies, or simply gathering for fun, our goal is to create a welcoming space for everyone. 

We are excited about the future and look forward to hosting more events and activities that celebrate our culture and bring people together.
