Hello, neighbors, my name is Nikki Herzog. I have two sons. Gavin is eleven years old, and Gabe is nine years old. We’ve lived in The Waters for almost a year and a half. When I moved here, I knew this place was beautiful, but I had no idea how amazing the neighbors in this community are. After being invited to many events with neighbors and seeing everyone’s love for socializing and sports, I decided to make an entertainment space for our home.

As unusual as it is for many women, I have a woodworking hobby. I was lucky to have a dad who was a contractor his entire career. I was just a little girl under his feet, but they would let me go to work with Daddy every time. Needless to say, I developed the confidence to attempt to build anything I wanted.

I decided my first project would be a sports bar on my back patio. There was already a beautiful fireplace, and I only needed to fill the space. It took four months of working on it in my spare time, but the result was definitely worth the effort! I managed to build a nine-foot bar, a matching sectional, and custom patio doors, which I urge you not to look too closely at.

It has been a great place for socializing in the summer and easy to enclose into a cozy football den during those chilly game nights. Hopefully, I will begin to meet more and more of you lovely neighbors and have the pleasure of sharing a drink or some good game day food with you!
