GOLTER

PARTY OF FIVE

The Golter family—Tim, Courtney, and their children Braelynn, Chase, and Olivia—are a vibrant and active part of the Thornwood community. Originally from Bartlett, Tim and Courtney bought their first home there and later moved to Lake in the Hills, where they enjoyed the scenic beauty of Woods Creek Lake. However, with the arrival of their twins, Braelynn and Chase, they felt the need to be closer to family and friends, leading them to settle in Thornwood.

Thornwood was an ideal choice for the Golters due to its family-oriented atmosphere, excellent schools, and proximity to loved ones. Adding to their excitement, they found a home just four houses away from close friends who had been part of their wedding party. This proximity has allowed their children to grow up with friends who are like family.

Tim and Courtney’s love story began in their teenage years through mutual friends. Although they drifted apart during high school, they reconnected through Myspace during Courtney’s college years, reigniting their relationship. They have been together for 16 years and will celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary this month.

Tim has been a dedicated plumber for 18 years, honing his skills across various companies. Inspired by neighborhood requests on the Thornwood Facebook page, Tim began offering his plumbing services to locals. The positive response led him to establish Thornwood Plumbing in April 2024, allowing him to serve his community full-time.

Courtney, a graduate of ISU with a degree in Public Relations, runs a small business, Interior Expressions by Jan, with her mother, creating beautiful and personalized spaces for clients. She’s also the CEO of their household and manages the business operations of Thornwood Plumbing.

Their twins, Braelynn and Chase, are enthusiastic and active. Braelynn loves dancing and gymnastics, while Chase is passionate about sports and puzzles. Olivia, their youngest, enjoys watching her siblings play and meeting new people with her infectious smile.

The Golters also cherish their two poodle mixes, Teddy and Tucker, and appreciate the vibrant community life in Thornwood. They enjoy the local shops, the community pool, and various neighborhood events. Courtney also loves going to workouts at Pure Barre. Tim participates in the Men’s Club and a poker league, while the whole family looks forward to outdoor activities
and making lasting memories in their friendly neighborhood.

We are grateful to Tim and Courtney's Grandparents who served in the military, protecting our country. Their service is deeply appreciated and honored.
