Discovering the Artistry of Stefanie Renee Pinello
Stefanie Pinello, a talented young artist, has lived in Thornwood with her family since June 8, 2019. She appreciates the strong sense of community in Thornwood, where friendly neighbors and active participation make the neighborhood feel like home. From a young age, Stefanie has been deeply interested in art. Whether she was doodling in class or creating pieces for her parents, art has always been a form of self-expression for her.
As Stefanie grew older, she explored various mediums, from watercolors to oil pastels and acrylics. However, she always found herself returning to her favorite combination: paper and colored pencils. The blend of colors and the ability to express her emotions on canvas or paper brings her a sense of joy and escape.
One of Stefanie’s most significant artistic achievements was a painting she created in third grade of a mermaid and her sea creature friends. This piece was showcased in her school's Mini Art Gallery Show, where it received overwhelming praise from students and parents alike. Even today, the painting hangs proudly in her home, often mistaken for a professional work of art.
Stefanie is inspired by the intricate details and emotional depth found in Renaissance and Romanticism art. While she hasn't faced any major challenges yet, only minor inconveniences, such as her little brother's attempts to add to her drawings. This have only strengthened her problem-solving skills and determination.
Although she hasn't showcased her work in major exhibitions yet, Stefanie dreams of one day opening her own gallery, the SRP Gallery. In the meantime, she offers her talents for commissions and as a face and body art painter for events. Stefanie hopes her art inspires others and allows them to see the world through her eyes.
