Meet Penny, A Pandemic Puppy
“During COVID, I needed my Yorkie more than she needed me,” jokes Tierra Verde resident Lindy Bond. She and JR Phipps love their four-legged friend named Penny.
A Lifeline During the Pandemic
“She’s my baby,” smiles Lindy. Penny is Lindy’s second Yorkie. “I love that breed,” she shares. Penny is a sweetheart and a dog-gone adorable dog. Through the pandemic, Penny and Lindy became best buddies. With emotional support and Penny’s sweet personality, Lindy knew that she had found her furever friend. Penny’s tail has been wagging ever since. With her constant companionship and unconditional love, she makes Penny’s house a home.
Fiercely Devoted to Penny
Lindy jokes, “I thought she would be great coming to my tea room, but not so much.” Instead this beloved dog would prefer the company of her mother instead. She is fiercely devoted to her pet parent and prefers her company over that of others. This unwavering bond between Lindy and Penny speaks volumes about the trust and deep connection they share.
Yorkies = Friends for Life
What makes a Yorkie a great pet is their affectionate nature and loyalty. Lindy can attest to those qualities in her precious pet. Afterall, a dog is known as man’s (or woman’s) best friend for a reason. Yorkies also have long, silky coats and expressive eyes, which add to their popular appeal.
We are honored to feature Penny in this month’s issue. If you see her out and about, give her a friendly pat and she will give you a sniff in return. She’s living the life of luxury here in Tierra Verde and she wouldn’t have it any other way!
