Meet Cindy (Weaver) Celso: The Heart Behind Stroll Topsfield
In the quiet town of Topsfield, there's a familiar face many have been curious about – the driving force behind our beloved community magazine, Stroll Topsfield. Who is she? How did Stroll come to be? And how does one transition from a career in Dentistry to publishing a magazine? Let's delve into the inspiring journey of Cynthia (Weaver) Celso, our passionate publisher, as she shares her deep-rooted connection to Topsfield and her unwavering commitment to community, family, and small businesses.
Born in Brunswick, Maine in 1970, Cynthia, fondly known as Cindy, embarked on her Topsfield journey at the tender age of 2 when her family relocated due to her father's job transfer to General Electric in Lynn, MA. Growing up on Forest Road, Cindy cherished her childhood surrounded by loving family, friends, and the joys of exploring the picturesque corners of Topsfield – from picnics at Coolidge Estate, and memories of Trinity Church, to unforgettable adventures at Hood's Pond and running with her Yellow Lab, "Buffy" through the fields of Klock Park.
After pursuing her education at Westbrook College, (University of New England) and establishing a career in Dentistry as a Dental Hygienist, Cindy's path intertwined with that of her now-husband, Ben Celso, a fellow Topsfield native whose family attended St. Rose of Lima.  Ben graduated from Carnegie Mellon with a BA in Industrial Management. Both graduated from Masconomet's Class of 1985. Their love story blossomed, leading to marriage and the joyous upbringing of four sons, who also graduated from Masconomet, in the embrace of Topsfield's tight-knit community.
Despite the challenges and changes life presented, including the recent sale of the North Andover practice where she was working during the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, Cindy's resilient spirit and desire to make a broader impact on her community led her to a new chapter as the owner and publisher of Stroll Topsfield.
For Cindy, Stroll is more than just a magazine; it's a vibrant tapestry weaving together the stories, businesses, and heartbeat of Topsfield. Through Stroll, she strives to reconnect residents, highlight local businesses, and provide a platform for sharing inspiring tales of triumph and resilience, such as Scott Suamsielgle's remarkable journey of overcoming adversity.
Cindy's passion for community shines through every page of Stroll, reflecting her genuine love for Topsfield and its residents. She delights in bringing light, positivity, and a much-needed break from screens to readers of all ages while supporting local businesses and fostering connections that enrich the fabric of the community.
Grateful for the opportunity extended by The N2 Company, Cindy is humbled by their unwavering support and shared commitment to empowering communities and small businesses nationwide. N2's core values and heart-felt purpose lined up with Cindy's passion for helping people, especially in their focus on philanthropy (N2Gives).
As Stroll Topsfield celebrates its first anniversary, Cindy extends her heartfelt gratitude to the readers, contributors, and sponsors who have made this journey possible.
In Cindy Celso, Topsfield has found not just a publisher, but a devoted community connector whose boundless enthusiasm and genuine warmth continue to shape the narrative of Stroll Topsfield and the heart of our beloved community.
