2024 Sheila Fest Spreads Joy, Love & Positivity in the Local Community
Since 2017 with the help of founding sponsor, Farmers Insurance, the Sheila Fest concert event has grown immensely. Each year has produced even bigger band and neighborhood turnouts. Golf, tennis, pickleball, and this year paint parties, tea parties and a 5K run have been added to the event’s list of activities. In addition, Sheila Fest Foundation has gone from raising $1,000 its first year to over $200,000.00 prior to this year’s events. The raised funds have been donated to several organizations, including this year’s recipients: iServe Ministries, Legacy Youth Mentoring, and other local charities.
Not only has Sheila Fest Foundation been able to raise increasingly more money to help those in need, but this year’s concert has been said to have been the best one yet thanks to Departure, Sunset Strip, Freebird-Atlanta, Smokey Jones, Afterschool Special, Kid Brothers, Dock Rock Radio, Radio Star, Redneck Blonde and of course Sheila’s 8-year-old Granddaughter Charlee that opened the festival with the National Anthem. All of the bands rocked the concert goers all day!
Sheila is determined to spread joy, love and positivity to those around her through Sheila Fest, as well as the Sheila Fest Foundation. “As our reach has increased, we realized we needed to open the doors in order to reach more people, to have an even bigger impact, and to take the burden of Sheila Fest off the neighborhood HOA members,” says Sheila. Hence the establishment of Sheila Fest Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit comprised of Traditions neighbors, board members and board advisors, which now runs Sheila Fest.
Of course, Sheila Fest would not be possible without Traditions’ incredible neighbors, friends, volunteers, and sponsors all of whom have shown much support to Sheila and her vision to help. A special thanks to everyone who has participated in Sheila Fest over the years, and an extra special thanks to Sheila, the driving force behind this event, for keeping it going and inspiring us all with her incredible story.
