Tell us where and why you got your pet:

Dempsey is from Missoula, Montana and joined our family when he was just seven weeks old. He is the great-nephew of our good friend's black lab (who lived to the ripe old age of 19), and our connection to his bloodline goes back over thirty years.

Anything special or unusual about him (talents/quirks)?

He is a rabid retriever as befits his heritage. He will never tire from fetching a tennis ball, whether it be on land, air, or sea!

What do you like best about your pet?

Dempsey is the most loyal of dogs, and we never have to worry about him venturing very far from any of us. He loves nothing more than to snuggle on a warm bed or occupy the recently vacated seat of his favorite human. He truly is the sweetest dog and loves being around other humans and dogs.

Any funny stories?

We have loved seeing Dempsey develop a variety of swimming strokes since we moved to Venetian Isles in 2021. Not all are executed perfectly, but they're always done with a great deal of enthusiasm!

Tell us how spoiled they are :)

Dempsey always finds his way into one of his human's beds every night. He loves his morning "toast" and dressing up for the holidays and weekend sports events.
