Maya Alcántara, daughter of Jennifer and Jared Alcántara, is in the graduating class of 2025 from Midway High School. She is in the National Honors Society and was awarded the Cross Country Academic All-State 1st Team.

Maya has been accepted into Baylor but is still waiting to hear back from a few other schools. She is most likely going to study nursing or pre-med.
 
In addition to her parents, Maya’s household consists of two younger sisters, Liliana and Evelyn, her Grandpa José, 3 cats and 2 gerbils.
