Level Up Fitness and Nutrition recently opened its doors and is offering a wide variety of fitness classes to help members get to the next level. As a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach for 18 years, co-founder and Eagles resident Jessica Waschezen (Coach Jess), brings her personal experience as a national-level figure skater to this new facility. “As I was training to be a high-level skater, I fell in love with how much you can control the strength and conditioning of the human body based on your training regimen,” says Jessica, who resides in the Eagles with her husband, Michael, and their 3 fur babies. 

Level Up co-founder Rafael Jimenez (Coach Raf) also brings his personal experience to his clients and members. While recovering from being hit by a drunk driver, Coach Raf turned his career focus to the fitness industry. Years of personal training and gym management led him and Waschezen to open up a facility that utilizes a leveled approach to fitness. “Each of our classes is suitable for all levels while giving people a little bit of discretion to decide how far they want to take their fitness journey,” Coach Raf explains.

LEVEL 1 - Metabolic Resistance Training (MRT) Boot Camp classes maximize calorie burning in a group fitness setting as a functional strength program where athletes can develop a strong cardiovascular base while gaining strength.  

LEVEL 2 - Small Group Strength classes focus on gaining strength and building muscle helping to push clients to the next level.
 
LEVEL 3 - Individual Coaching tailored to each athlete or member and their specific goals. 

“Leveling up is so much more than leveling up your physical condition. It’s leveling up your mindset, it's leveling up your belief in yourself, it's leveling up your habits, your nutrition, and more,” says Jessica.  “We just want to be that space for people to feel comfortable but also to be motivated in all those aspects of their lives.”

Level Up also offers nutrition services, utilizing a Body Composition Scan to develop an individualized plan based on the calorie and macro needs of each athlete for optimal performance and results. “When people have goals they want to meet, everybody has a different story,” explains Jessica. Pointing to some of her clients who frequently travel, “It is really important to us that we can make it as easy and convenient as possible to stay on track. It is very individualized based on their lifestyle and based on particular goals as well as their personal likes and preferences.”
 
Level Up also offers a unique service in their recovery room. Athletes can wear compression boots (think air massage to the legs) to quickly increase blood flow and circulation to the muscles to help stimulate recovery after a workout. The compression boots can also be used to help reduce inflammation around the joints, ligaments and tendons.
