Hi, I am Ellen Rich, a lifelong dog lover and dog show exhibitor. I have been showing Barbet (French Water Dog) since before they became an AKC recognized breed in the Sporting Group.

 

My wonderful husband flew to Warsaw, Poland to bring Grand Champion Bandi Lackie Splendorki to the states. He has exceeded all expectations and at 2 years old is the number 1 Barbet in the country.

He won Best of Breed at the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club in NYC in February!

He's presently in Canada earning his Canadian championship. The icing on the calendar was my homebred Ch. ethelred Do It Again flying into NYC with her handler to win Best of Opposite Sex. To win with both of my dogs is a once in a lifetime experience that I will never forget!

 

Besides being show dogs my dogs and I do lots of things together. All of my dogs have titles such as Canine Good Citizen, Trick Dog, Farm Dog, or Fast Cat because Barbet are joyful dogs that love to learn and have new experiences. I am truly grateful having Barbet in my life.
