Meet Amy Beck, DO

In the heart of our Stroll community, residents are fortunate to have access to a diverse array of medical professionals dedicated to serving their needs.

Dr. Amy Beck, DO, is a respected physician in the Wildhorse neighborhood, offering personalized and preventive medical care.

After completing her Internal Medicine training in the US Air Force in San Antonio, Dr. Beck returned to St. Louis in 2012 with her family. With her husband Kevin and their three children, Sydney (16), Tessa (12), and Jack (10), they became involved in the subdivision community, enjoying outdoor activities, family movie nights, and engaging with neighbors.

Dr. Beck recently bought a solo practice in Creve Coeur and joined MDVIP, a national organization focused on preventive medicine. Her practice operates on a membership basis, allowing her to spend more time with each patient. Through MDVIP, her patients gain access to discounts on cutting edge preventive diagnostics and services.

Dr. Beck's medical journey began at Drury University and continued at the Kansas City University of Medicine. Her residency in Internal Medicine in the US Air Force included a deployment to Bagram, Afghanistan, where she provided care to wounded soldiers in the surgical intensive care unit.

Learning medicine is not just about being good at science and math. It's listening to patients and learning their unique needs. With nearly 20 years of experience, Dr. Beck finds the most satisfaction in solving her patients' problems, whether they are simple or complex. She emphasizes the importance of paying attention to detail and breaking down problems into smaller pieces while also looking at the big picture. She finds joy in the appreciation her patients express for her efforts and caring nature.

Continuing education is essential for Dr. Beck. She attends seminars, conferences, and grand rounds through four different local hospitals to stay updated on medical advancements. She values the input of her peers and the expertise of the physicians on MDVIP's board of directors.

Dr. Beck encourages her patients to be proactive in their health and to seek second opinions when necessary. Her dedication to her patients and the community is evident in her comprehensive and compassionate care.
