Say Hello to Olive Robertson

Olive Robertson is currently a freshman at Lafayette High School. She lives in the Highlands with her brother Vance, and her parents Jenifer and Bradley Robertson, and they also have a dog named Chip. Olive was born in Washington State, and lived there until she was eight years old before moving to Missouri.

She currently plays two instruments: the violin for over 3 years, and she just started the piano. Although playing different instruments seems fun, there are some challenges that come with it. One upcoming challenge that Olive faces is that she has an orchestra audition coming up. She says, “No matter how it goes, I will have played my best.”

Olive has also got some great achievements from playing the violin, she is a member of the Symphonic Orchestra, which is one of the highest levels of orchestra provided at Lafayette High School. In fact, she is one of the only people in her freshman class to make the cut.

Since she started her first year of high school, she has been taking honors classes and feels like there is a quiz or test to prepare for almost every week. When she’s not studying, she likes to draw and read books. Her favorite book series is Keeper of The Lost Cities.

One of Olive's favorite trips was to Hawaii. She loves the warm beaches and tropical scenery there. When Olive grows up, she wants to go into a science-research based profession, because she loves science, and enjoys being around different plants and animals. Olive also wants to continue playing music throughout her adulthood. We wish Olive all the best in her future endeavors!
