The Underwood Family has called Willow Bend home since 2018. “One of the things we love most about our community is its close proximity to beautiful outdoor spaces like Old Shepard Place Park and White Rock Trail Park,” shared Carson.

Carson and Jenna welcomed their little girl, Layla Josephine in September 2024. “Layla is now six months old, and every day feels like an achievement in early parenthood. She loves interacting with our animals, exploring plants, and taking in the world with curious little eyes” shared Carson. In addition, the Underwood family lives with their two dogs, Lola and Dexter and two cats, Moose and Luna.

Carson grew up in northeast Arkansas, spending much of his early life showing horses. Carson’s horse passion led him to move to Whitesboro, Texas, in 2006, following graduation from high school. Over time, Carson’s career path shifted, and in 2012, Carson moved to Newport Beach to assist a friend with their factoring business. Following time in Newport Beach, Carson was presented an opportunity in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he continued in the financial sector until 2016. Carson and Jenna met through a mutual friend in 2014 while living in Scottsdale, Arizona. “In 2016, we relocated to Jenna’s hometown of Plano to focus on the buyout of a condominium complex. In 2018, we were fortunate to purchase a home in Willow Bend Lakes” shared Carson. They cherish the life they’ve built together—especially as they navigate the joys of parenthood side by side.

Carson is in real estate investment and Jenna is a prop and wardrobe stylist for the commercial advertising industry. In addition, yoga and serving the community are a large part of their lives. “Giving back to our community is a core value of our family - from picking up litter on walks to volunteering our time and resources. Carson currently serves as Vice President of Willow Bend Lakes, is the current Chairman of Collin County Park Advisory Commission and was previously Collin County Central Appraisal District Board of Director.

With over a decade of experience in the creative industry, Jenna has built a career working with nationally recognized brands such as Neiman Marcus, Michaels Craft Store, JCPenney, Tony Lama, and Justin Boots. Outside of her professional work, she finds joy in watercolor painting, floral design, and styling events—passions that continue to fuel her creativity. Now embracing a new chapter as a mother, she’s currently taking a meaningful break from her career to spend precious time with her daughter. “It’s been such a beautiful season,” she shares, “and I’m soaking up every moment as we start our family together.”

Carson and Jenna have both practiced yoga for several years. Last year, Carson began teaching yoga at Gaia Flow Yoga, a local yoga studio in town and teaches every Friday at 9:15am.

The Underwood’s have a large collection of potted plants from all over the Earth. “We’ve amassed over 100 potted plants over the last decade” shared Carson. Some of this collection includes adeniums, pachypodiums, sansevieria and orchids.
