Soccer and Sparks:

A night of family fun and fireworks!

Boom, Crack!  That's what was heard at the Loudoun United 703 and post-game fireworks. When Loudoun United was hosting a Fireworks show after the game, many people decided to start their 4th of July celebrations early by watching Loudoun United play Hartford Athletics. In a great start to an awesome night Loudoun United had a variety of fun games, bouncy houses, live music, and even a clown on stilts. With many local food trucks and vendors, you could find everything from Gruto’s Ice Cream, to a local popcorn vendor. Right before kickoff happened kids 5-14 had a chance to volunteer to participate in the kids' walkout tunnel to get a high five from the players.

Loudoun United had a stellar performance and won the game 3-0. (Go Loudoun!) The fireworks show started right afterward. Not only did they last a long time but the fireworks were huge and super colorful! With spectacular fountains and crackling explosions, it really was a breathtaking show. After the show, kids had the opportunity to walk onto the field and take a PK shot. It really was an awesome experience to feel what it is like to be a semi-pro athlete. Everyone also had the opportunity to get signatures from the players, and if you're lucky and you cheer loud you might get the chance to get one of the players' jerseys like we did!

This really was an awesome game and I look forward to going to another game soon. If you ever want a fun evening/night activity I would 100% recommend you going to see a Loudoun United game!
