The Esworthy family will be celebrating their first year living in Winding Hills this month! Becky and Brian Esworthy along with sons Ben (3) and Ethan (1) love their friendly neighbors, quiet streets, creek, pool and the nearby parks. They also appreciate having a lot of families in the neighborhood.

Becky and Brian grew up in Harrisburg. Despite growing up just a few miles from each other, attending the same elementary school for a year and having mutual friends, they had never met until they discovered one another on Match.com in 2013.     

Becky did her undergraduate work at Shippensburg University and completed her graduate work at Penn State Harrisburg. She is an elementary reading interventionist at Commonwealth Charter Academy (CCA). Brian is a Certified Public Accountant and attended the University of Delaware for his accounting degree and obtained an MBA at Messiah University. After prior experience at Deloitte, JetBlue Airways, Penske Truck Leasing, and Milton Hershey School, he is currently working as a controller with a global trade company.

This young family likes to keep active! They enjoy reading, running, church activities, bike riding, swimming, going to local parks and playgrounds, hanging out with family and friends, hiking, and traveling. Becky and Brian love to travel – they’ve been to a combined 34 countries and 34 states and are eager to add to those lists.

One of their favorite trips was going to Mexico to see Dave and Tim (of Dave Matthews Band) on the beach for a three-night concert series. Becky and Brian love live music events and are huge Dave Matthews fans and found the Mexico venue and experience incredible!

Some other favorite destinations are Europe, the Caribbean, national parks, California, Florida, and the Jersey Shore. In Florida, they spend time with family, watching sunsets on the beach, and dining outside. When at the Jersey Shore, they ride bikes, play in the sand and water, compete at mini golf, and get Manco's pizza.

A favorite dinner at home is grilled chicken, sweet potatoes, and veggies. They enjoy outdoor dining and when the Esworthys venture out to eat, you might find them at Millworks, Wolf Brewing, Hellenic Kouzina, or Cork & Fork.

When Becky and Brian get the chance to relax, they like to catch up on sleep or read a good book. They also enjoy rooting for Philadelphia sports teams and watching Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, Friends (Becky), Seinfeld (Brian), Stinky & Dirty and Cars (Ben).

Becky and Brian enjoy being involved in the community where they live. Before moving to Winding Hills, they lived in Midtown Harrisburg and were heavily involved in various local volunteer organizations. They are looking forward to getting involved in their new church and being active in the boys’ schools and sports as they get older. They are always interested in supporting a good local cause and would love suggestions from their neighbors!
