The Goodest Boys: Coby and Mack's Tale of Love and Chaos

Winnie Fields: Hi, Coby and Mack! I’ve been so excited to meet you both. Let’s start with introductions—tell me a little about yourselves!
Coby: Hi, Winnie! I’m Coby Doodle Swisher. I’m an F2 Standard Goldendoodle, 5 years old, and I’ll be turning 6 in August. I’m the older, calmer one in the family.
Mack: And I’m Mack Davis Swisher, an F1 Standard Goldendoodle. I’m 4—almost 5 in September. I’m the younger sibling, full of energy, and always keeping everyone on their toes!

Winnie: Coby, how did you join the Swisher family?
Coby: The Swishers had a Victorian Bulldog named Samson, who was with them for years. When Samson passed away in 2018, it was a tough time for everyone, especially Mom, Sarah. They weren’t sure if they’d get another dog, but after about 10 months, Dad, John, convinced her. They found me through a family breeder who wanted to share their Goldendoodle’s great temperament with others. I was “Lilac Boy” back then, but when they brought me home in October 2019, I became Coby. They named me after Coby from Dude Perfect—how cool is that?

Winnie: That’s adorable! And Mack, how about you?
Mack: Oh, I’m the “clearance puppy.” Dad’s coworker got a deal on two Goldendoodles and asked if the Swishers wanted another. They thought, “Coby’s so great, why not?” But, surprise—I was nothing like Coby! I was raised on a farm, had never been in a car or on a leash, and I was the runt of the litter. Let’s just say I added some… excitement to the family. I was named after Mac in “It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” whatever that is.

Winnie: How do the two of you get along?
Coby: We’re a team. Seriously, we’re so co-dependent that we can’t stand to be apart. If one of us is away, we’re restless until we’re reunited.
Mack: Yeah, Coby’s obsessed with fetch, and I’m the wild younger sibling who keeps things interesting. I love chasing Coby while he chases balls—it’s my favorite game.
Coby: Fetch is my passion. I’ll chase a ball for hours, and if someone stops throwing it, I’ll nudge their hand or drop it in their lap until they start again. Mack tags along, but I always make sure the ball gets back to the thrower.

Winnie: And Mack, what’s a day in your life like?
Mack: Chaos! I’m always moving. Even when I eat, I grab food, carry it to the living room, drop it, and eat a little at a time. Mom says I remind her of my human sister, Sloane—nonstop energy, and we go 100 MPH.
Coby: And I am more like my human brother Jackson; calm and cool.

Winnie: What do you love most about being a Swisher?
Coby: The love and attention. The Swishers include us in everything, and we even have our own “Aunt Kim” at Kim’s Canine Camp when they travel.
Mack: For me, it’s the laughter. I know I’m a bit of a handful, but they love me anyway.

Winnie: You two are such a great pair. Any final thoughts?
Coby: Just that we’re lucky to have such a loving family.
Mack: And it’s even better with my big bro, Coby.

Winnie: Thanks for the chat, Coby and Mack! You are the goodest boys.
Coby & Mack: Thanks, Winnie!
