Winnie Fields: Hello, Beans! Thank you for taking time out of your busy cat schedule to chat with me today.
Beans: Of course, Winnie. I had to reschedule my afternoon nap, but for you, I’ll make the sacrifice.
Winnie Fields: Let’s dive right in. Your family, the Shilots — Mike, Rebecca, Lauren, Seth, and Ella — adore you. How did a Non-Traditional Scottish Fold Munchkin come to join their home?
Beans: Ah, it was fate. Ella, the youngest Shilot, had her heart set on a Munchkin kitten, one of us eternally baby-faced cuties. She found me through an online platform called GoKitty.com. The moment she saw me, it was destiny. Who could resist my charm?
Winnie Fields: Speaking of charm, where did your name come from?
Beans: My toe pads, naturally. They resemble tiny beans, perfectly round and irresistible. Once they noticed, it was game over. Beans it was.
Winnie Fields: I hear you’re not just any ordinary cat. Tell us about some of your quirks.
Beans: Oh. I have a couch — a tiny couch, just my size. When it arrived, I immediately claimed it. Now, I sit there like a proper gentleman, sometimes even on the human couch, just to mix things up. Oh, and I can stand on my back legs like a bunny rabbit. It’s quite the crowd-pleaser, especially when I’m reaching for treats or investigating something intriguing.
Winnie Fields: What’s the best thing about being you?
Beans: Well, I’m endlessly cuddly and devastatingly cute. My big eyes and perpetual baby look make me the star of the household. Everyone loves to hold me, and I enjoy the attention — when it’s not too loud, of course.
Winnie Fields: Any recent memorable moments you’d like to share?
Beans: My fourth birthday party! Ella went all out with invitations and decorations. The family gathered to celebrate me, it was a blast.
Winnie Fields: You must be quite spoiled.
Beans: Oh, I’m the king of the castle, no doubt about it. My every whim is catered to. I have my cat tree throne, where I survey the backyard. It’s a good life.
Winnie Fields: What’s your favorite thing about your family?
Beans: Their love and devotion. They’ve created a cozy, peaceful home for me, and they never fail to make me feel special.
Winnie Fields: You’ve truly enriched the Shilot household, Beans. Thank you for sharing your story with us!
Beans: My pleasure, Winnie. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a nap and perhaps some regal lounging to attend to.
