The Hunts

This month, we have the pleasure of introducing you to the Hunt family, who have been a wonderful addition to our neighborhood for nearly two years now. Keith and Shelbi Hunt, along with their children Cooper and Vivienne, have embraced their community with open hearts and have already made countless memories here.
Keith Hunt is a dedicated Commodity Trader for JDH, a profession that suits his analytical skills and love for the agriculture industry. Originally from Friona, Keith pursued higher education at Texas A&M before moving to Amarillo to launch his career. Keith is passionate about outdoor activities like golfing, skiing, and hunting.
Shelbi Hunt, originally from Amarillo, is a stay-at-home mom who previously had a successful career in public accounting after graduating from Texas Tech. Shelbi loves to travel and relishes every moment spent with her children. Together, the Hunt family enjoys a myriad of outdoor activities such as trips to the pool, park outings, and neighborhood walks, making the most of the beautiful surroundings they call home.
Their youngest members include, Cooper, who turned two in July and Vivienne, who turned one in September. Enrolled at Primrose, Cooper delights in learning and playing each day. His face lights up when he comes home, eager to share what he has learned with his loving parents. Vivienne, has already reached significant milestones—she’s started crawling and her first word was a heartfelt “Dada.” Watching their children grow and discover the world around them brings immense joy to Keith and Shelbi.
Family traditions are cherished in the Hunt household. One particularly special tradition is their annual trips to Breckenridge, both in the summers around the Fourth of July and during the winter months. As ski enthusiasts, they are eagerly looking forward to introducing Cooper and Vivienne to skiing in the coming years, creating bonds and memories on the snowy slopes.
When they’re not enjoying the beauty of Breckenridge, you'll often find the Hunts embracing the local scene. As a family, they love to go eat pizza at 575. They also enjoy going to OHMS when they get to have a night out. They are avid supporters of Texas Tech Red Raiders and Texas A&M Aggies, reflecting their collegiate loyalties. They are looking forward to the upcoming football season and getting to attend a couple of games this year.
Music is another integral part of their lives. The Hunts enjoy any live music event, and they are excitedly anticipating the neighborhood’s summer music in the park events. Such gatherings not only allow them to enjoy melodies under the sky but also offer a chance to further connect with their wonderful neighbors.
The Hunt family has been busy working on several renovations to their home. This has been a very fun project for them. One of their beloved neighbors has been an integral part of the renovations and provided great insights throughout the process.
You will often find the Hunt family playing out in their front yard, Cooper riding his bike, and Vivienne swinging. Cooper recently got a car for his birthday and has a lot of fun cruising around with Vivienne in the passenger seat. If you are out walking your dog, Cooper and Vivienne are probably waving at you; they are hoping Santa might bring them their own dog at Christmas!
In conclusion, the Hunts are more than just residents; they are an essential part of the fabric that makes our community special. Their ability to balance professional commitments with a rich family life and active neighborhood participation sets a wonderful example for us all. We look forward to seeing their children grow, sharing in their adventures, and continuing to build a neighborhood where everyone feels connected and valued. Welcome, Keith, Shelbi, Cooper, and Vivienne—here's to many more joyful years together!
