Wild West Wildlife Rehabilitation Center
Wild West Wildlife Rehabilitation Center (WWWRC) is a nonprofit organization with 51 volunteers, dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating orphaned and injured wildlife in all 26 counties of the Texas panhandle. We take approximately 3000 animals a year. We do not receive any state or federal funding and run on donations. We recently built an education facility with a classroom and housing for our education ambassadors. This facility allows us the space for school field trips, community events, and opportunities to educate the residents of the Texas panhandle about their native wildlife. We are also a Clinical Partner for Texas Tech Veterinary School so we have 4th year students doing rotations. We also teach a few classes at WT on Reptiles for the Companion Animal Class and VERO program. We are passionate about our wildlife and feel that it is important to coexist peacefully. You can’t love what you don’t know. We recently had the grand opening of the new education facility!
