Cash is an 11-year-old black lab who belongs to us, the Terpstra family!  I am Michelle, and my husband, Andy, our son, Owen, and daughter Abby recently moved into a home on Deer Run. We will all tell you he is the best pet ever! He is a cuddler, always making new friends when people come over.  He loves to wander around our property, hoping to meet new people walking by and another dog to play with. 

Cash was a wedding gift from Andy’s mom and is a trained bird dog with a junior hunting title. He loves swimming and chasing squirrels but prefers the relaxed life of being a spoiled house dog to hunting. 

Cash understands “doggie sign language” and can do several tricks by hand signals. 

He is the most confident pet you will ever meet. He knows he is lovable and doesn’t have anything to prove –  just enjoying the dream life. Cash was raised in Southern California and doesn’t love the snow or cold weather. I have never seen him sprint back inside like he did the first time he went out in the snow! 

As a puppy, Cash used to eat fruit trees. He has had his stomach pumped a lot, and doggie insurance has sure paid off! Now he just carries around our shoes – someone is always missing a shoe, but he is so gentle that the shoe goes undamaged.

You will know it’s Cash when we are on a walk – he always has his favorite stuffed animal in his mouth – just a big lovable baby with his “babies,” as we call them.

Cash sleeps every night with Abby.

Working from home for the last decade, he is always keeping my feet warm under my desk. He is my favorite co-worker.
