We are Michael & Heather Roy, proud owners of Michael's Garage Doors LLC, a family-owned and operated business. As lifelong residents of St. Johns County, we are grateful to call the beautiful King & Bear community home. Heather and I have lived behind the gates of King & Bear for many years, and it holds special meaning for us—Heather was raised here before World Golf Village even existed.

We’re high school sweethearts and just celebrated our twentieth anniversary in the North Georgia mountains. We have a wonderful daughter, Shelby, who is twenty-two, and a few furry family members. I’ve spent twenty-seven years in the construction industry, working in various fields such as roofing, framing, finish carpentry, property maintenance, septic service, and garage doors. It has always been a dream of mine to own my own business. In 2019, I took a leap of faith, earned my class II contractor's license, and launched Michael's Garage Doors LLC.

As a family-owned business, we’re committed to providing personalized service and treating our customers like part of the family. Heather and I work closely together to provide reliable and professional garage door solutions for our community. We believe in transparent pricing with no hidden fees, so you can trust that the price we quote is the price you’ll pay. Our goal is to ensure that every project is completed with care, attention to detail, and integrity.

In 2016, we purchased our home from Heather’s father. With the help of our family, we added a beautiful kitchen and completed a full renovation. Our property backs up to Mill Creek and is surrounded by majestic oak canopies. We’re fortunate to be visited by an abundance of wildlife, including deer, turkey, bobcats, peacocks, otters, and occasionally alligators or coyotes.

When we aren’t busy running our business, you’ll find us traveling or exploring the outdoors. We love fishing, hunting, camping, and discovering new places together.
