Shrimp & Grits

Peel and devein 16-20 large jumbo shrimp: Season shrimp with McCormick steak seasoning and olive oil and grill for 2-3 minutes per side (because they cook so quickly, complete this step after you finish cooking the grits).

Cook 4 servings of old-fashioned grits according to package stove-top instructions.

Instead of 4 cups water, use 2 cups whole milk and 2 cups water. Watch closely, as milk will boil more rapidly than just water and will boil over. Follow the remaining instructions.

Once cooked, add 4 oz. cream cheese, 4 oz. butter, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and other seasonings to your liking.

Add toppings: Crispy bacon (cook in the oven on a piece of parchment paper at 400 F for 20-25 minutes for perfect, crispy bacon), chopped green onions, chopped tomatoes, and freshly grated cheddar cheese.

Place grits in a bowl, sprinkle with cheddar cheese, and top with 4-5 shrimp, crumbled bacon, chopped green onions, and chopped tomatoes.
